To echo what feels like a million other statements, things have been pretty insane over the last few months. The impact has been felt sharply by small businesses; the equestrian community is full of them. As we find a way to adapt and persist through these challenges, we wanted to provide updates on 1) What our response is to the pandemic, and 2) What impact it may have on your order with us.
Health & safety of staff
At Left Lead Collective, our products are sold on a "made-to-order" basis, meaning they aren't printed until you order one! To do this, we work with some kick-butt manufacturers located across the U.S. for our apparel and accessories. Our manufacturing partners are adhering to health and safety guidelines set by the CDC with the use of social distancing, staggered staffing, PPE and regular cleanings. I kept the shop closed and did not take orders until we received confirmation from our partners that appropriate measures were in place to ensure staff safety.
Impact on order processing & shipping time
Even though our manufacturers are actively working to print and fulfill orders, there are still many procedures in place to ensure it happens as safely as possible. As a result, with limited staffing and increased demand on online ordering from other shops they provide for, order processing times are longer than normal. In addition to this, shipping carriers we utilize such as USPS, and sometimes UPS and DHL, are also experiencing extreme rises in demand amid the effects of the pandemic.
So, what's that mean for your order?
Our t-shirts and tank tops are currently being fulfilled the fastest. Accessories such as jewelry, coffee mugs and water bottles are still fairly quick, but can take a couple more days to fulfill. Currently, most orders are being printed and sent out within 7 business days (M-F).
After being sent out, shipping times via USPS can take anywhere from 1-7 business days (M-Sat) depending on where you are located. Please note some shipping times may be longer than usual due to demand on carriers. Unfortunately, we do not have any control over packages once they leave production centers. If your package is lost or delayed, we always recommend opening a claim with the shipping provider first.
Any other questions? We'd love to hear from you.
Thank you for your continued support and patience! My appreciation is endless. XOXO.
